My Review: Teenage Mermaid; the title says it all. This is truly a book on the hardships of being a teenager, whether your a mermaid or a human! But this is also a story of mystical love. What I really enjoyed about this book is that it is written in two perspectives; the first is Lilly's view on what it's like to be a teenage mermaid and the obstacles she must endure to find her "earthdude", the boy she saved from drowning. The second point of view is Spencer, a surfer boy who is trying to find the girl he fell in love with who saved his life. My favorite part about this is how comical Lilly's point of view is! However, I think readers of mermaid literature will enjoy the ending of the book. It was quite a cliff hanger. This book is really easy to read and you can probably finish it in a day or two. I give this book (****) 4 stars. -Sirenita The Selkie
