Ariel Is My Babysitter by Andrea Posner-Sanchez*

Book Type: Children's Book

Author: Andrea Posner-Sanchez

Pages: 24

Summary(goodreads.com): A Disney Princess makes the best babysitter! Children ages 2 to 5 will love this Little Golden Book, which tells a funny story about Princess Ariel, the Little Mermaid, taking care of a baby octopus.

My Review:

After diving into the first page of this book, I knew it was an undersea treasure! This book is filled with beautiful and brightly-colored illustrations that seemed to come right out of The Little Mermaid movie. While the text is simplified for younger mers, adults will enjoy this cute story too.

My favorite character is Melvin. He is so adorable and curious! Ariel is a lucky mer-girl to look after such a cute octopus.

If you want to teach your mer-children more about octopuses, this book explores how intelligent, curious, and clever these creatures are. Melvin displays his ability to fit into small spaces, and uses his camouflaging abilities to hide from Ariel.

This was such a fun story to read! I give this book (*****) 5 stars.
